Travis Douglas & Determined

In 1999, Travis A. Douglas had a vision to start his own choir. A very dear friend of Travis saw that he was determined to get this vision for God started. The friend suggested that Travis name the choir Determined. Travis was overwhelmed with the name "Determined," and felt in his heart and soul that he was determined to sing and shout for “Jesus.” Every since the very beginning the choir has been determined to seek the vision that God has given them. With the determination and the help of God, “Travis Douglas and Determined” has become one of the hardest working gospel choirs in the Midwest. Presently, the choir has thirty “determined” members who are accompanied by very gifted and talented musicians.

The “Determined” organization is more than just a group of people singing and a group of musicians playing music. Determined is a Family that sings together, performs together, and plans to stay together, to glorify Jesus Christ.

For the last few years, Travis Douglas and Determined has been performing in churches, auditoriums, theaters, hotels, halls, stadiums and other professional venues all over the Southern and Midwestern states. The ensemble has done openings and has appeared on stage with some of the well-known artists in the Gospel music industry. The Chicago-based choir Determined is a performing ensemble that has opened up for, and appeared on stage with some of the biggest names in gospel music including Leanne Faine, formerly of Milton Brunson and The Thompson Community Singers, affectionately known as “The Tommies,” and has appeared on Bobby Jones Gospel Showcase.

Travis, choir members and the musicians are gifted songwriters, composers and arrangers. Together they have written some very fine gospel compositions. The choir released their debut CD, entitled “An Instrument of Praise” in September of 2003. They released their sophomore project “Determined Yet Again” in September of 2006 on Prophecy Records. The Travis Douglas and Determined organization is a Chicago-based performing choir and ensemble that is available for performances, concerts and backup for “live” or studio recordings. The choir’s musical style ranges from traditional gospel songs, to today’s “hand clapping, foot stomping, body moving, heart lifting, God Praising, soul stirring” music, with a pulsating rhythm.

Travis A. Douglas is the president and CEO of TDD Records, Inc. and Traes Music Publishing Company. The day-to-day management activities of the choir is handled by Andrew Griffin (773.378.8422) of CEO Entertainment Group, ( a Chicago/Los Angeles based entertainment management company). All of the organization’s business, legal and financial affairs are handled by CEO Entertainment and the TDD Staff.
